               Paolo Di Bartolomeo

Lead Instructor, Supply Chain Integrity for Entrepreneurs

Paolo Di Bartolomeo is a purpose-driven ESG leader and sustainability strategist with 15+ years of experience embedding ESG practices across industries in Canada. As the lead instructor for this program, Paolo brings a rare combination of real-world impact and academic insight — having taught Global Sourcing, Sustainability, and Data Analysis at Seneca Polytechnic while leading nationally recognized stewardship and circular economy programs in the private sector.

Paolo’s approach is grounded in one core belief: progress is built on action, not aspiration. Every session he delivers is designed to move participants from understanding to applying to building — equipping them with practical frameworks they can use from day one in their careers, advisory practices, or entrepreneurial ventures.

His experience spans corporate ESG strategy, supply chain governance, and sustainability reporting across multiple industries, making him uniquely positioned to guide participants through the intersection of traceability, integrity, and go-to-market readiness that defines this program.

Micro-Credential Timeline

Week 1:

June 13

In the first session, we introduce the Supply Chain Integrity for Entrepreneurs program and the Whole-Chain International Standard (WCIS) framework. Participants begin building foundational knowledge in supply chain strategy and management while starting their Go-to-Market Blueprint, the document they will develop and refine across all 10 sessions.

Week 2:

June 20

This session focuses on supply chain network design, logistic service providers, and operational efficiency. Participants learn how to evaluate logistics structures, calculate Total Cost of Ownership, and identify where risk and inefficiency exist in real supply chains.

Week 3

June 27

Participants develop proficiency in inventory planning, monitoring, and control. The session covers key financial performance ratios including Inventory Turnover Ratio (ITR) and Cash-to-Cash Cycle (C2C), and introduces decision-making tools such as the Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP) and Make or Buy analysis.

Week 4

July 4

This session introduces continuous improvement methodologies — Lean, Agile, and Six Sigma — aimed at maximizing efficiency and eliminating waste across supply chain operations.

Week 5

July 11

Participants explore the technology systems that power modern supply chains, including ERPs, WMS, and POS platforms, as well as advanced tools such as Blockchain and RFID. The session includes hands-on application of data modeling for agri-food traceability and practical use of the CFIA's Automated Import Reference System (AIRS).

Week 6

Jully 18

Building on the foundational weeks, this session shifts to comprehensive training in governance, leadership, and ethical sourcing. Participants examine WCIS Clause 4 (Governance and Leadership) and Clause 7 (Transparency and Authenticity), and explore principles of ethical conduct and sustainability through real-world case studies.

Week 7

July 25

This session addresses the operational and regulatory dimensions of international trade, including Incoterms, HS Codes, and regulatory compliance. Participants build the skills needed to navigate global supply chain risk and meet Canadian trade requirements.

Week 8

August 1

Participants apply advanced sustainability tools — including Streamlined Life Cycle Assessment (SLCA), Embodied Energy analysis, and materials selection strategy — to optimize processes in high-risk sectors, with a focus on greenhouse agriculture.

Week 9

August 8

This session is dedicated to developing the strategic vision for launching an advisory service. Participants synthesize their technical knowledge into a viable Go-to-Market strategy blueprint as a precursor to the full CSCIP Expert Consulting Project (CSC1003).

Week 10

August 15

The final session is dedicated to reviewing and synthesizing learning, developing professional skills, and building the networking and relationship management capabilities needed to advance toward the CSCIP Trusted Advisor designation. Participants leave with their micro-credential, digital badge, and a clear pathway forward.
